SUMMARY:Burn Baby Burn - Stockholm
DESCRIPTION:Burn baby burn is Mari Carrasco’s third work on the theme of groove and now it’s time for a grand finale.\nWith music as the pumping heart of the work\, Carrasco challenges his dancers with subtle movements and step combinations. We are invited into a filmic landscape\, a dream world where the dancer soon becomes one with the music. \nYou are pushing it\, just relax\, it will go by itself\, don’t put nothing in it unless you feel it – Nina Simone \n\n\n\n\nCo-produced by Dansens Hus\, Norrlandsoperan and Dansnät Sweden. Supported by the Swedish Arts Council and Region Stockholm. Will also tour with Dansnät Sweden in spring 2024. \n\n

SUMMARY:Sol Invictus - New York City
DESCRIPTION:Led by the imaginative choreographer Hervé Koubi\, Compagnie Hervé KOUBI returns to New York with the mesmerizingly kinetic Sol Invictus. Named after the “invincible sun” deity\, the work upholds love as the guarantor of peace\, that despite fracture\, communion emerges as humanity’s saving grace. The music score includes a composition by Swedish composer Mikael Karlsson\, with excerpts by Steve Reich and digital composer Maxime Bodson. “I want to talk about light\, solidarity\, and those bonds that unite us\,” says Koubi. “Here\, the sun and the dance will emerge victorious.” \nDigital Program
