Mikael Karlsson’s opera returns to the Royal Swedish Opera. Based on Lars von Trier’s film, with a libretto by Royce Vavrek, Melancholia follows two sisters as a wedding celebration gives way to the threat of planetary catastrophe. Andrea Molino conducts the production directed by Sláva Daubnerová.
