Mikael Karlsson was included 2007 in Out Magazine’s Out 100 list of influential people (other people that year were Annie Lennox, Marc Jacobs, Antony Hegarty and Beth Ditto). The score to his piece Nasty Fucker was published in Butt Magazine. In 2012, NYC Public Radio’s listeners voted him as one of their 100 favourite classical composers under 40. In May 2014 he received the Wladimir and Rhoda Lakond award “for an exceptional mid-career composer” from the American Academy of Arts and Letters. Mr. Karlsson has released over a dozen albums with chamber works and soundtracks ranging from pop and film music to sound collages, dance scores and avant-garde concert music.
Signed with Universal since 2016 for concept albums, Maria Radutu released Insomnia at the famous Progy&Bess Club in Vienna.
With remarkable CD concepts, classical in solo concerts, groovy with the New Piano Trio, the Austrian – Romanian pianist Maria Radutu pursues the goal of creating moments that change the listener’s pulse.
Her solo career has included concerts with orchestra in the Golden Hall of the Vienna Musikverein, the Great Hall of the Vienna Konzerthaus, the Salle Gaveau in Paris, the Auditorio National in Madrid as well as an Asia tour with the Viennese Radio Symphony Orchestra.
Recitals and chamber music concerts have taken her from Carnegie Hall in New York to the Festspielhaus in Baden-Baden to Beijing.
Together with Florian Willeitner and Ivan Turkalj, she forms the New Piano Trio whose first album, NP3, was published in 2016. Her debut soloalbum Joujoux was released 2013.
